American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical-Surgical position in a Diabetes Medical Care Unit, requiring prior travel experience and insulin drip proficiency.
Requirements- Active RN license (FL or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- Experience with insulin drips required
- At least one prior travel assignment required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- 13-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), 36 hours per week
- Work in the Diabetes Medical Care Unit (DMCU) of a Level 2 trauma, teaching facility
- Facility has 772 beds; unit has 30-35 beds/suites
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Travelers float first, to all units within the med-surg division
- Weekend and holiday coverage required, no on-call duties
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Facility is a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
- Orientation held every Monday
- EPIC training provided during orientation with option to test out; full training required if not passed
- Local candidates accepted, except those with a permanent address in the facility's city
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
