Landscape Gardener

About the Role

We are seeking a full‑time Landscape Maintenance crew member to join our team at Horizon West, located at our Casuarina depot. The role reports to the Team Leader and works Monday to Friday with early starts required.

• Undertake general gardening maintenance activities such as weeding, spraying, mulching, pruning, hedging, planting, fertilising, soil preparation and laying turf.
• Read and interpret plans and drawings to select materials and plants and coordinate construction schedules.
• Install hardscape elements (paths, shelters, walls, fences, street furniture) and softscape elements (plants, lawns, mulch).
• Build outdoor features including paved areas, walls, fences and other structures.
• Operate light landscape maintenance equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, lawn mowers, brush cutters, and edgers in accordance with training and manufacturer manuals.
• Maintain site safety signage, barriers and control measures in a clear, visible and upright position.
• Conduct daily and weekly pre‑start inspections.
• Assist with routine basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, job practices and PPE requirements.
• Carry out other general labour duties as assigned.

• Experience in horticulture, landscape, parks and gardens and/or turf industries.
• Current WA Driver’s Licence (C Class).
• WA Construction Safety Awareness – White Card.
• National Police Clearance.
• High level of commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to multi‑task and adapt to different environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment and ongoing fitness for work medicals.
• MR truck licence.
• Chainsaw ticket.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
