Theater of the Sea animal care specialists are responsible for the daily care and training of Atlantic bottle nose dolphins, California sea lions, and/or fish & reptiles, maintenance of facility, and performance of public shows and interaction programs.

Assistants help specialists in all departments including dolphin, sea lion, fish and reptile, and guest services. Most animal care specialists began as assistants.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

• SCUBA certification
• Experience with marine animals
• Degree in related field
• Strong swimming skills
• Physically fit
• Good public speaking abilities
