Lead Veterinarian – Sarasota, FL

A well-established companion animal practice is seeking a Veterinarian to step into a leadership-focused role, combining hands‑on medicine with clinical guidance and team support. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with leadership experience or a motivated doctor ready to grow into a leadership path with mentorship and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality veterinary care while modeling professional and ethical standards
  • Support and guide the clinical team to ensure consistent patient care
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of medical protocols
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to support clinical efficiency
  • Mentor and support veterinarians and support staff in clinical growth
  • Balance clinical responsibilities with leadership and oversight duties
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA‑accredited institution or equivalent
  • Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment
  • Demonstrated interest in leadership, mentorship, and clinical excellence
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced clinical environment
