A well-established companion animal practice is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to step into a leadership-focused role, combining hands‑on medicine with clinical guidance and team support. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with leadership experience or a motivated doctor ready to grow into a leadership path with mentorship and professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality veterinary care while modeling professional and ethical standards
- Support and guide the clinical team to ensure consistent patient care
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of medical protocols
- Collaborate with operational leadership to support clinical efficiency
- Mentor and support veterinarians and support staff in clinical growth
- Balance clinical responsibilities with leadership and oversight duties
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA‑accredited institution or equivalent
- Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment
- Demonstrated interest in leadership, mentorship, and clinical excellence
- Strong communication, organization, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced clinical environment
