Mortgage Occupancy Field Inspector

We are looking to hire Mortgage Occupancy Field Inspectors to perform residential property inspections on behalf of mortgage lenders. We are looking for knowledgeable and experienced inspectors:

• Aspen Grove ABC#
• Have used at least one of the industry-standard smartphone apps:
  Inspector
  
  ADE (used by GIS), EZ Inspections, or Safe View Inspect
• Currently conducting occupancy inspections (or have in the past)

Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on the properties they have financial interest in. The lender contracts with GIS to have inspectors verify property occupancy, report general property conditions, letter delivery/posting, vacant interior walkthroughs, or insurance repair progress reports. Most inspections are basic exteriors, some require contact via door knock or letter delivery. Additionally, some inspections require interior access to secured or vacant properties and appointment-based insurance loss inspections.

• Spend extended periods driving within your territory
• Manage your time efficiently to complete inspections within a 3-5 day turnaround
• Determine occupancy status based on industry standards and report property conditions
• Use a mobile app to capture photographs, comments, and documentation
• Maintain consistent communication with your inspection manager via text, email, and phone

• Computer with internet access
• Fuel-efficient vehicle
• iPhone or Android device
• Printer
• Office supplies (paper, envelopes, ink)
• HUD keys (set of 11)
• Availability during daylight hours
• Volt stick (preferred)

• Rate per inspection estimated at $15-$20+ per hour, depending on location, volume, and efficiency
• Payments are made every Friday via direct deposit for work completed the prior week
• Expected work hours vary, typically 5-15+ hours per week depending on territory
• This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position
