Research Technician

Florida Ag Research is part of a nationwide group of agricultural research centers dedicated to helping farmers and agricultural product companies improve crops and production methods. We’re looking for a Research Technician to join our team in Thonotosassa, FL. • Collect field trial data on crop growth, plant health, and insect activity
• Record observations on plant development and product performance
• Assist with applying agricultural products during studies
• Enter and manage research data in our study database
• Support field and greenhouse activities that keep trials on track
• Contribute to projects under the guidance of a biologist

• A Bachelor’s degree in science or related field, OR equivalent hands‑on experience
• Experience working in agriculture fields, greenhouses, or labs
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good time management
• A dependable team player who can also work independently
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy research environment
• Application experience highly desired

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing Personal Protective Equipment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs for 4–6 hours per day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
