Technical staff (Fixed Term)

Polymer synthesis, cell experiments, some animals experiments. Analysis of experimental data. Other necessary research-related work. Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.

Experience in organic synthesis or polymer synthesis beside cell culture experiments is preferred. Computer skills are preferred and ability to communicate in English or Japanese.

After August 1, 2024 (available for consultation)

1 year. Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.

National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki). The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.

5-7 hours a day, 3-5 days a week (We can discuss working days and hours. Flextime allows you to adjust your working days.)

Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays

Based on NIMS regulations. Commuting allowance and national insurance are also included.

Two months from the start date of employment

National Public Servants Mutual Aid Association short-term, employees' pension insurance, employment insurance, and worker's compensation insurance applicable (Various insurances are subscribed if they meet the requirements stipulated by laws and regulations)
