Location: Tallahassee
The Economic Research Associate supports the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Marketing and Development by conducting market research, analyzing economic data, and preparing reports on Florida agricultural products in domestic and international markets. The role involves managing databases, creating statistical presentations, collaborating with managers and contractors, and providing technical assistance on marketing and operations.
Key qualifications:- High school diploma plus 7 years of experience in economics, agricultural economics, statistics, research, or marketing; OR bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience; OR master's degree plus 1 year
- Knowledge of public relations and marketing principles and techniques
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret economic data
- Ability to prepare charts, tables, and graphic presentations of data
- Valid Driver License required
- Occasional travel required
