Location: Tallahassee
The Economic Consultant performs advanced-level economic research and analysis for Florida Commerce's Labor Market Analysis team. The role involves conducting complex quantitative and qualitative research projects, managing economic data, and presenting findings to support state workforce and economic policy decisions. The incumbent independently designs and executes major research initiatives using econometric techniques, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related Social Science
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and economic theory
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data using R, Tableau, Python, IMPLAN or SQL
- Ability to write high-quality reports and analyses for publication
- Experience managing large economic and workforce research projects
- Master's degree or above in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics (preferred)
