Location: Cedar Key
Environmental Specialist II with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture. The role involves monitoring water quality, collecting environmental samples, operating boats and field equipment, conducting shoreline surveys, and preparing technical reports to support shellfish management and water classification programs.
Key qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in environmental protection, regulation, public health, food safety, physical/natural sciences, agriculture, or engineering
- OR six months of experience as an Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida
- OR bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Class E Driver License required
- Must obtain Boating Safety Education Identification Card within 90 days of employment
