Security Coordinator

The Out-of-Door Academy is seeking a highly skilled and proactive
Security Coordinator to join our team in supporting the safety and well‑being of our three dynamic campuses in Sarasota, FL. • Coordinate daily security operations across multiple campuses.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for campus safety officers and support scheduling, communication and coverage planning.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response initiatives, including the planning, coordination and execution of emergency drills.
• Provide security orientation and ongoing training for educators and students.
• Live the school’s mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility.

• High School Diploma required;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of security type experience, law enforcement or School Resource Office experience preferred.
• Florida D and G license eligible required; current Florida D and G license preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in security, law enforcement, school safety, or a related protective services field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and situational‑awareness skills, with the ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergencies.
• Working knowledge of security protocols, access control systems, surveillance tools, and incident reporting/management practices.
• Professional presence marked by integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and a student‑centered, service‑oriented mindset.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and the ability to travel between campuses; CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Google Workspace or MS Office) required.

This is a 12‑month full‑time exempt position available March 2026. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
