Job Description As a Security Officer – Access Control – Full Time in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer supporting access control in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents.
Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment for all employees and visitors. This is a driving post, where you may be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
- Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help deter unauthorized entry.
- Follow established security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site management.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals at access points and responding to inquiries regarding entry and exit protocols.
- Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activity encountered during access control duties.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters when necessary according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment, as required by site procedures.
- Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following applicable protocols and instructions.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of daily activities, visitor entries, and any incidents in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

- Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
