Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional – Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; and deterring criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety‑sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law.

This assignment is in a healthcare facility; therefore, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / hour

  • Shift Options:
    • Option 1:
      Wednesday - Sunday 2PM - 10PM (off Monday and Tuesday)
    • Option 2:
      Thursday - Monday 10PM - 6AM (off Tuesday and Wednesday)
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Healthcare and/or security experience required

Role

Duties Include:
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the facility
  • Support patient safety through rounds, incident response, and de‑escalation
  • Assist clinical teams during emergencies and high‑stress situations
  • Provide visitor screening, access control, and customer service assistance
  • Complete accurate incident documentation
  • Participate in physical restraints as trained and assist with deceased‑patient transfers
  • Uphold hospital safety protocols, patient dignity, and professionalism
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED from an accredited school
  • At least 2 years of verifiable work history
  • Ability to pass a federal 10‑panel drug test
  • Willing to undergo TB bloodwork and vaccination review
  • Professional appearance: no facial piercings, no facial or neck tattoos, natural hair color
  • Ability to remain calm, confident, and reliable in stressful situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and respond quickly when needed
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
  • Service in a military occupational specialty related to law enforcement, security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a combat zone
  • Graduate of a certified public safety academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • Minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
