• Entry‑level (unarmed) security officer position.
• Ensure safety of colleagues, patients, and visitors by patrolling, surveilling, and responding quickly to emergencies.
• Respond to emergencies and drills: infant/child abductions ("code pinks"), fires ("code reds"), disasters ("code greens"), violent/security events ("code greys").
• Investigate thefts, burglaries, automobile collisions, and other violations.
• Deliver medication and emergency shipments.
• Assist staff members with patient assistance.
• Complete required training.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (high‑school equivalency certificate).

Must complete the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program and earn one of the following for advancement to Public Safety Officer II (JC: 080107).

• Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) credential from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS).
• Blue Card certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
• American Red Cross (ARC) first‑aid certification.
