Position Summary
Marine Technicians at One Water Marine are responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercraft in an accurate and timely manner. As a marine technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on boats in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as parts & service, to prioritize and address customer concerns.
- Accurately document all service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and other details; provide customers with appropriate documentation.
- Handle boats with care before, during, and after service.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow safety protocols.
- Attend applicable service schools to maintain certification and educational requirements; stay updated on trends, tools, and technologies.
- Assist with special work events as needed, e.g., boat shows.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a marine technician or similar role preferred
- Marine Technician certification(s) is a plus; manufacturer certification (Boat or Engine) is a plus
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools and diagnostic equipment preferred
Standing or sitting for prolonged periods; repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions; moving about to accomplish tasks; operating a motor vehicle; communicating with others; assessing accuracy and thoroughness of work; hearing, talking, seeing; eye/hand/foot coordination. Light to heavy lifting up to 100 pounds or more.
Work EnvironmentIndoor office environment with controlled temperatures; no adverse environmental conditions expected; small or enclosed spaces possible; moderate noise.
