Plumber Helper

This position will report to Nash Plumbing & Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

Support the team in the installation of commercial construction work as listed but not limited to: underground plumbing, above ground plumbing, fixture setting and plumbing trim work in commercial buildings.

• Perform appropriate communication with co‑workers and customers
• Assist plumbers with installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems including pipes and fixtures
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing work site, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available
• Handle tools and materials by obtaining tools, holding pipes in place and assisting in cutting and fitting pipes as directed
• Perform basic repairs and installation under direct supervision
• Dispose of waste by properly disposing of debris and waste materials
• Learn and apply skills by engaging in on‑the‑job training to learn plumbing techniques and safety protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to travel as needed for projects
• 1 year commercial plumbing experience preferred
• Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred
• Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Regular and punctual attendance; ability to work overtime if needed
• Criminal background check required for hire

• Position requires the ability to lift and carry tools, material, and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Position requires physical stamina and the ability to climb stairs and in/out of a scissor lift and navigate ditches
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
