Apprenticeship: IT Specialist in Application Development

As an IT Specialist in Application Development with us, you will work closely with our data center software development team. In your daily work, you will deal with the interaction of multiple systems within the data centers, and will contribute to developing automated solutions (web interfaces, APIs). You will design platforms (software stacks including everything from databases to messaging protocols) and solve scaling challenges within large network infrastructures.

Your code will be actively used by both our customers and colleagues.

During your three-year apprenticeship, you will gain insights into a wide range of technical departments and be thoroughly prepared for a professional career after your training.

• Program and maintain software solutions using technologies such as Ruby, Go, Bash, HTML, Rust, and Linux
• Maintain and develop our software (both application and system software)
• Implement projects within the team
• Provide support for other departments and do telephone and email customer support
• Administer Linux servers

• Enjoy working with technology
• Secondary school diploma, technical college entrance qualification, or high school diploma
• Good knowledge of mathematics, computer science, and English
• Initial experience with programming is a plus
• Interest in Linux and Unix operating systems
