Receeve is a product and engineering team within InDebted, originally a standalone company and now a core part of our platform. The team has been together for years, built the original Receeve product from the ground up, and are known for strong engineering standards and close working relationships.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Sydney to join this tight-knit, globally distributed team (Australia, Mexico, Pakistan). You’ll focus on backend and infrastructure with a full-stack awareness, acting as a trusted lieutenant to Luis, Engineering Manager.

• You’ll help evolve Receeve’s architecture and infrastructure as part of InDebted’s broader platform, with a particular focus on data, connectivity and cloud-native services.

• You will:
• Own and lead infrastructure conversations and direction for the Receeve team.
• Work on the data lake link and related integrations with the Connect and wider InDebted teams.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services in Type Script (Node.js) on AWS.
• Design and implement solutions using Cloud Formation, Lambda, Dynamo
  
  DB, Open Search and common AWS services.
• Create clear, usable documentation that supports a distributed, senior team.
• Support and guide other engineers, helping to grow the team’s capability and technical direction.
• This role is a natural pathway towards Staff Engineer for someone who enjoys technical leadership as much as hands-on building.

• You’re trusted to work independently and flexibly across time zones.
• You lead infrastructure direction, rather than simply implementing tickets.
• The data lake link and related integrations are reliable, well-understood and documented.
• The team depends on you for clarity, documentation and technical guidance.
• You’re fully integrated into the Receeve collective and positively influencing how the team works.

• Deep experience with cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong skills in Type Script (Node.js) - most of the codebase is Type Script.
• Very strong experience with Microservices and Event Drive Architecture and working with data platforms / data lakes.
• Experience using Cloud Formation, Lambda and distributed AWS services such as Dynamo
  
  DB and Open Search.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team, coordinating across time zones.
• Clear written and verbal communication; you value documentation and structure.

• Has worked together for a long time and values trust, seniority and craftsmanship.
• Is fully full-stack and senior, spread across Mexico, Pakistan and Australia.
• Wants someone who will be part of the collective, not just a solo contributor.
• You’ll also interact with the wider InDebted engineering function, particularly the Connect and Automate teams.
