Assistant Golf Professional

Overview

This Assistant Professional Role will be a hands‑on experience that will allow the successful candidate to gain experience in every aspect of the business. The goal of our program at Killearn Club is to provide assistants with an opportunity to grow and learn about the entire golf operation.

The assistant will be responsible for leading and supervising the outside services staff. Other duties and responsibilities that are expected to be carefully and correctly carried out by the assistant include merchandising, special orders, day‑to‑day golf operations, and organizing and executing tournaments with Golf Genius.

There are ample practice and playing opportunities, as the Professional Staff will be expected to play with the membership when time permits.

This role can expect to work 5‑6 days weekly and approximately 45‑55 hours per week during peak season, including time spent teaching and coaching. Practicing and playing is encouraged when appropriate.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2‑3 years experience at a private club, a good understanding of Golf Genius tournament software, experience with Trackman Range, and a strong interest in becoming a future Head Golf Professional. Must be PGA Class A in good standing or actively working toward membership.
