Head Fitness Trainer

Job Description

To exceed guest expectations and implement high quality recreation activities/services and to provide a safe environment for our guests and associates.

• Lead fitness classes, workshops, open house events, and specialized training sessions for guests of all ages (16+ to the elderly).
• Set up personal trainings and fitness classes 15 minutes prior to schedule.
• Engage and interact with guests before, during, and after sessions to create memorable experiences.
• Collaborate with Supervisor on class schedule, programming, and instructor availability (personal training appointment, class, etc.).
• Meet with instructors/personal trainers on Fitness Center policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement new fitness programs, workshops, and educational activities aligned with current health and fitness trends.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of fitness facilities (Cardio Room, Upstairs Yoga Studio, TRX Room, downstairs weight room) and ensure proper care of all equipment (weights, TRX straps, kettle bells, mats, cardio machines, medicine balls, speakers, etc.).
• Ensure safe workout environments by applying knowledge of anatomy, heart rate zones, corrective exercise, and appropriate modifications for varying fitness levels.
• Support recreation associates with group functions and guest activities across the property.
• Verify private session payments and commissions; ensure class accuracy and instructor accountability.
• Attend departmental meetings as required by management.
• Uphold Omni Resorts’ service culture, rules, and regulations, including Moments of Service standards and Power of Engagement.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel amenities and property specifics to assist guests effectively.
• Knowledge of proper group training formats, different fitness levels, and modifications.
• Knowledge of workout locations on property.
• Ability to drive/operate company vehicles with or without guests: truck & golf cart (need to pass Omni driving test).
• Accept other special duties as required by management.
• Flexibility in job duties.
• Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities and property specifics.

• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs. occasionally and 30–40 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to stoop, stand, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods.
• Good or corrected vision, hearing, sense of balance, and ability to communicate clearly with guests.
• Strong multitasking skills in dynamic environments.
