The Maintenance of Traffic Laborer is required to perform temporary traffic control operations to maintain traffic on roadway construction projects, ensuring public safety and efficient traffic flow within specified work zones.

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, work‑zone signs, and lights.
• Set up and maintain assigned Maintenance of Traffic activities, including detours and lane closures.
• Coordinate services with on‑site client representatives or officials.
• Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks.
• Deliver / pick‑up equipment from customer job sites.
• Coordinate activities of traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines.
• Make recommendations on existing conditions to coordinate procedures for traffic maintenance activities.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor.
• If an approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with a Motor Vehicle Record.

• Minimum 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry (e.g., road construction, highway maintenance, construction).
• High School Diploma or GED and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Repeated physical effort including driving for several hours per day or at a time, standing and walking for extended periods, loading and unloading equipment.
