Sun Auto Tire & Service is a reputable automotive service center dedicated to providing top‑notch maintenance and repair services to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled General Service Technician to join our team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Perform oil changes and other basic services.
• Utilize the company’s multi‑point inspection and/or repair order to properly document vehicle condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior to maintain a clean and inviting appearance.
• Drive vehicles safely, transporting customers, picking up parts, supplies, or tires from vendors or corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Conduct state safety and emissions inspections in applicable locations in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the direct supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed, and perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

• General understanding of under‑hood, mechanical and under‑carriage assemblies is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a state inspector license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
• Temperature varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on ambient temperatures outside.
• Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to gain access to various areas.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus.

Previous automotive experience is preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard‑working individuals with a passion for cars. Candidates must have a high level of motivation and be able to work in a fast‑paced environment – there is ALWAYS something to do.
