Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8:00am – 2:00pm

- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Six months Medical experience in a Clinic (preferred)
- Six months Customer Service experience in a Business Office Environment (preferred)
- Outgoing individual with a friendly attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements
- Demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements
- Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process
- Under direct supervision, perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
- Schedule appointments according to office guideline.
- Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
- Copy/scan patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., , referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.
- Prepare charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.
- Confirm next day appointments and alert patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
