The
** Dietary Aide
** assists in the service of meals for patients, visitors, and staff, and assists in various processes related to the preparation and delivery of meals. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.
** Essential Functions
*** Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets, according to the planned menu and as directed. Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures.
* Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition. Completes general cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of work area.
* Assists with keeping Dietary department stocked with essential patient food items.
* Operates dish machine according to established procedures.
* Maintains records regarding patient diet information.
* Utilizes concepts of age/developmental stages in interactions with patients and families.
** Minimum

Job Requirements *
* * Minimum Education & Experience
** High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
* 1 year experience in healthcare food services preferred.
* Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation
** Food Handler’s permit preferred.
* Must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability.
* Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
** Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.locations:
