Associate Underwriter

Acturion is seeking an Associate Underwriter to support the assessment and decision‑making process for life insurance applications for its growing US life and annuity insurance business. This is an ideal role for someone early in their underwriting career who is detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to develop deep expertise in life underwriting.

• Review life insurance applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform initial risk assessments using established underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluate basic medical records, prescription histories, lifestyle information, and financial data with support from senior underwriters.
• Identify missing or unclear information and communicate with agents, distributors, or internal teams to obtain follow‑up details.
• Apply underwriting rules and decision frameworks to recommend approval, modification, or referral.
• Support senior underwriters in analyzing more complex cases and preparing files for final decisions.
• Maintain accurate case documentation within the underwriting and administration systems.
• Participate in underwriting training programs covering medical terminology, mortality risk factors, regulatory considerations, and product knowledge.

• 0-3 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, underwriting support, claims, financial services, or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical, structured approach to reviewing information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn underwriting guidelines, medical concepts, and industry tools.
• Comfortable using digital platforms and administrative systems.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
