Peoples Construction Corporation is conducting a professional search for a Director of Design/Build Services to lead, administer, and supervise the company's design-build operations. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for guiding projects from concept through completion, ensuring that our clients' visions are transformed into high-quality, cost-effective, and timely results.
The Director will oversee budgeting, plan preparation, project execution, and operational reporting, while also working closely with clients, team members, architects, engineers, and community stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Design/Build Services will:
- Lead design-build operations, including budgeting, project planning, and execution.
- Meet with clients to assess needs and produce design-build proposals.
- Oversee the preparation of plans, specifications, and pricing documents.
- Coordinate resources and identify process improvements across design-build functions.
- Build operational reporting capabilities to track activity, progress, and timelines.
- Recommend and implement new programs, software, and systems to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
- Represent Peoples Construction with professionalism in all client and industry interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial general contracting and design-build leadership.
- Expertise in VDC/CAD and design-build methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of the site-selection process.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and community partnerships.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Full-Time:
Monday – Friday. Occasional travel may be required for projects across Mississippi and surrounding states.
Based at our Flowood, Mississippi office with project oversight across the Southeast.
