Landing Gear Assembly Technician

PAG supports operators in the Airline, Business and General Aviation (BGA), Military and Rotary Wing markets through its Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (ISMRO®) business model.

We are looking for a Landing Gear Assembly Technician to support the final assembly and build‑up of aircraft landing gear components and assemblies. This position focuses on the precise reassembly and testing of overhauled or repaired parts, ensuring they meet OEM and FAA standards for quality and airworthiness.

• Perform final assembly and build‑up of landing gear components, subassemblies, and full assemblies per OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and work instructions.
• Install seals, O-rings, hardware, bushings, bearings, and fittings using appropriate tools and calibrated equipment.
• Torque hardware to specified values and record all critical measurements and readings.
• Ensure proper alignment, fitment, and functionality of all parts during assembly.
• Perform hydraulic shock strut test, gap checks, and other tests as required.
• Collaborate with Quality teams to complete in‑process and final inspections.
• Tag and prepare completed assemblies for shipment or return to customer.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, serial numbers, and inspection results.
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure a clean and organized work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly area.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching to shoulder level, occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, repetitive hand movement, eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity, corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.

Work Location: Precision Aviation Flowood, MS.

Protective Equipment

Required:

Must wear appropriate PPE and work in a shop environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or A&P license a plus.

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or MRO.
• Proficient with hand tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and alignment tools.
• Ability to interpret and follow CMMs, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 145 repair station procedures is preferred.
• Team player with strong communication and time management skills.

A&P License preferred but not required.

Other duties may be assigned to support other departments, personnel or projects.
