Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi or compact state

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

• Fetal Monitoring certification

• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility (per travel nurse requirements)

• All certifications must be submitted with application
L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

• Monitor and assess fetal and maternal status; interpret data and respond to obstetric emergencies

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Administer medications and assist with labor interventions as needed

• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process

• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and clinical best practices
