The Shift Leader supports the store management team’s daily operations of a Krystal restaurant. They help enforce brand vision, mission, and promise while modeling core values. The Shift Leader ensures compliance with company standards across product preparation, delivery, customer service, facilities maintenance, and financial accountability. The role also focuses on selecting, training, and coaching A+ talent to achieve key results in people, customer, sales, and profit.

People:

• Demonstrate core values and assist in building high‑performing employees, training, retaining and recognizing A+ talent.
• Partner with management to execute the performance‑management process and hold employees accountable.

Customer:

• Drive a customer‑focused culture by resolving issues and training staff to meet or exceed service standards.
• Coach, drive excellence, recognize and hold the shift accountable around core operational procedures using OSM and company systems.
• Ensure food‑safety standards are met through direct observation while running shifts.

Sales:

• Partner with management to ensure restaurant‑level plan and marketing initiatives are in place and implemented.

Profit:

• Execute cash/security, inventory, labor and food control procedures during shifts and identify closure gaps.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Serv Safe certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred with at least one year of restaurant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, overnights, and weekends.
• Travel to other locations (other stores, banks, meetings) may be required.

• Lift up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Carry products or boxes no more than 70 pounds.
• Consistently handle product preparation.
• Kneel and follow proper lifting procedures.
• Lift for product preparation, stocking and inventory consistently.
