Description:

A facility in Foley, AL is seeking a Travel Operating Room RN for an 8-week assignment. The OR Nurse is responsible for providing perioperative care by anticipating and planning for the needs of surgical patients and the surgical team. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operating room in compliance with AORN standards and hospital policies

• Prepare the OR for surgical procedures, ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available

• Assist surgeons intraoperatively and provide post-procedure patient support

• Maintain sterile technique and manage the flow of each case efficiently

• Communicate with patients’ families, surgeons, and anesthesia providers

• Participate in updating physician preference cards and coordinating case logistics
Requirements:

• Current BLS certification (AHA)

• Active RN license in the state of Alabama (or compact license)

• 2–3 years of Operating Room experience

• Experience with Robotics and Orthopedics required
