Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
A highly successful and well-established chartered accountancy practice in Folkestone is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join its growing, supportive team.
Working with a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across Kent and the South East, you’ll play a key, hands-on role delivering bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns and wider accounting services.
The firm has built an excellent reputation for quality, client relationships and staff development, with a supportive team culture and low staff turnover.
The Role- Bookkeeping and processing invoices, payments, income and receipts
- Preparing management accounts, P&L, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Completing VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations and monitoring account balances
- Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies
- Providing cloud accounting support using Xero, Quick Books, Sage and similar software
- AAT studying/qualified or qualified by experience
- Ideally 3-5+ years' bookkeeping experience, gained in practice, a bureau or self-employed environment
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience with Xero, Quick Books, Sage or Kash Flow would be advantageous
£26,000-£36,000 + parking, pension, holiday and excellent flexible benefits.
