A Teaching Assistant is needed in Mixed Church of England Secondary & Sixth Form in South East London.
This Teaching Assistant position can be part or full time and will be long term with scope to go permanent.
Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant post will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions
- Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
- Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
- Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant role will be between £85.50 and £116.55 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The SchoolA Church of England Secondary Academy located in the London Borough of Bexley.
It is a mixed non-selective school located in what is otherwise a selective borough and the only Church of England secondary school in the borough.
Although classed as an Academy, it is also a Comprehensive School.
The school's motto is "God working with us, and through us."
There are currently just over 1000 pupils on enrolment.
RequirementsYou're welcome to apply if you're a recent Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.
Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Teaching Assistant:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/young people or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
