Interim Assistant Finance Manager
Salary £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience

We’re looking for an Interim Assistant Finance Manager to join our Travel Finance team for 12 months, supporting the business through a busy period of project work. Working across our Cruise and Holidays businesses, you’ll take ownership of key reporting and controls, helping us keep everything running smoothly while supporting improvements along the way.

This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, operations and our commercial teams. From cash flow and working capital forecasting to regulatory reporting and compliance, you’ll play an important part in making sure our financial information is accurate, reliable and delivered on time.

We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. In this team we work mainly from Folkestone a minimum of 3 days a week.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key financial reporting and controls across our Cruise and Holidays businesses. Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning cash flow and working capital reporting and forecasting across our travel entities.
• Supporting foreign currency forecasting and ensuring currency requirements are identified in line with Treasury policy.
• Managing CAA/ATOL and ABTA regulatory reporting, submissions and compliance deadlines.
• Acting as the main Finance contact for regulatory audits.
• Coordinating Finance support for emissions reporting, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting month-end management accounting and other ad-hoc finance requests.
• Supporting process improvements and ensuring actions are followed through.

You’ll work closely with our Finance and commercial teams, as well as Finance Transformation, in a fast‑paced environment where collaboration and supporting one another are key.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, takes pride in getting the details right and can confidently manage a varied workload. You’ll be comfortable working with different teams, communicating clearly and taking ownership of your work in a fast‑moving environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in a similar finance role, with a professional accountancy qualification.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to act as a key point of contact within a small team and across the wider business.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review your own work and ensure information is accurate.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work streams, remaining organised and effective under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
