Overview
Casual Bus Drivers located in Folkestone. Go-Ahead London is the largest bus company in the capital. We employ over 8,000 staff operating approximately 2,400 buses from 17 depots in South, North and East London. We are expanding our dedicated team of commercial drivers that work on Private Hire and commercial activities such as contract work, rail replacement duties and major events.
We are interested in hearing from existing PCV licence holders who are looking for variety in their role as a bus driver and can work in the Folkestone area.
We currently have vacancies in our Commercial department for Casual Drivers in Folkestone. We will recruit from among existing drivers at all locations, and we will also consider external PCV holders who may wish to apply. Opportunities may include rail replacement activities or other commercially operated services; an element of TfL service work may also be available. Casual Contract/Private Hire Drivers will be paid £21.40 per hour.
EU driving regulation knowledge and record keeping would be advantageous.
Owing to the type of work involved, we are looking for conscientious, well-motivated individuals capable of working under pressure to achieve the high standards of courtesy, driving skills and flexibility expected by our commercial customers.
For internal applicants, you should have a good work and driving record, free from blameworthy accidents and customer complaints for 2 years. External applicants must provide suitable references and, where appropriate, the Licence for London documents from current or previous employers. You will need to be ultimately flexible and accept changes, as the nature of the business can generate alterations to your allocated work, sometimes at short notice.
