Project Accountant 2 | HDR
Join us as a Project Accountant 2 to support HDR's Water Business Group by managing client invoicing, collections, project budgeting, and contract administration while ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities- Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting, and provide backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, timesheets, and expense reports.
- Accurately maintain contract documentation, administration and maintenance, including fee and budget entry.
- Collaborate with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues.
- Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and collaborate with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Assist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis.
- Mentor junior project accountants as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience; advanced degree may offset years of experience.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
- Flexibility, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and collaborate with various managers in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, well‑organized and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.

CompensationExpected salary range: $70,304 – $97,460 annually (depending on skills, experience, education and location).
