Principal Management Consultant – HDR

What You’ll DoAs a Principal Management Consultant, you’ll engage clients in strategy, funding, and planning for complex power, industrial, and data‑center projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on power market opportunities, funding, and financing alternatives.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary planning teams and providing strategic input for new market entry and sustained growth.
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships, participating in marketing, contractual, and developmental meetings.
- Engaging in industry events to support HDR brand awareness.
- Performing additional duties as needed to support clients.
- Expertise in power markets and the nexus of power and technology with rapid deployment requirements.
- Experience supporting large demand customers such as data centers with infrastructure development.
- Experience with regulated and non‑regulated utilities, independent power producers, municipalities, and other clients.
- BS or BA in Engineering, Business, Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience, including 3+ years in a development role in the power, industrial and/or technology industry.
- Knowledge of electric power systems, market participants, energy contracts, project finance, and utility‑scale and distributed generation technologies.
- Strong client development and management skills with a high standard of quality.
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
- Curiosity and passion for continuous learning.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years consulting experience with extensive related expertise.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and follow‑up skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant in employee‑owned culture.
- Ability to travel to in‑person client meetings.

Targeted pay rate: $105.77/hr – $132.22/hr (depending on experience and location).
