Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate large-scale multi‑discipline projects with high technical complexity.
- Build and maintain client and area business class relationships.
- Participate in project development and contract document preparation.
- Mentor mid‑ and junior‑level staff across a variety of disciplines.
- Provide oversight to planning, design, inspection and construction management of interior drainage and riverine flood risk management projects; dams and reservoirs; ecosystem restoration; drainage; and general site civil of major water management infrastructure.
- Coordinate regional projects with inter‑related disciplines such as hydrology, hydraulics, structural, geology, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, CADD and GIS.
- Reinforce the Quality Management Program (QMP) and participate in staff training.
- Participate in corporate management of the DLCWs program and perform technical and quality reviews of projects outside of geographic area.
- Review work scopes, scope of work documents, contracts, and project pricing in collaboration with HDR legal, project managers, business group managers and area managers.
- Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
- MS in civil, environmental or water resources engineering.
- Fifteen (15) years related experience.
- Experience as a task lead and/or project manager in a consulting business.
- Self‑starter, highly motivated and team oriented.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills and the ability to assimilate data and put into a big picture context.
- Extensive experience designing and directing large complex multi‑discipline projects.
- Experience with engineering during construction or construction administration experience for dam and levee projects.
- Strong technical writing abilities, solid engineering background, and effective presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- 10 years experience in related field.
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
