In the role of Water Resources (Civil) Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Assist Senior Engineers and Project Managers in performing engineering tasks that may include preparing studies, designs, engineering recommendations, improvement plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and presentations.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Assist with and support AutoCAD production, Civil 3D design, and development of improvement plans.
- Support development of quantities using a combination of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and hand calculations.
- Attend and participate in occasional site visits and/or field meetings. Attend and participate in project meetings with internal staff and external clients or teaming partners.
- Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to clearly describe work in written reports, presentations, technical memos, meeting notes, and emails.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, with guidance from other engineers, and as a part of a team.
- Be able to follow instructions, ask questions, and resolve challenges in a team environment through collaboration and dialogue.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
