Phlebotomist II Float – Quest Diagnostics – Folsom, CA
Location:
Folsom, CA. Shift: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM with rotational weekends. The float role assigns phlebotomists to multiple patient service centers and provider offices throughout the area.
Required license:
California, Nevada, or Washington state phlebotomy license. Quest does not accept NHA licenses for these states.
Pay: $23.70 – $26.20 per hour. Eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus.

Health Care Provider - Industry: Medical and Diagnostic Laboratories
- Cover a territory of patient service centers or physician offices as required.
- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Collect specimens according to established procedures—including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
- Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
- Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as a point of contact for on‑site staff and provide input to the group lead or supervisor.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required for positions in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience—including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections—required.
- Minimum two years in a patient service center environment preferred.
- Customer‑service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data‑entry experience required.
Communication in English is required.
