People Soft Financials Tester will provide leadership and technical guidance to test teams and has accountability across multiple functions as it pertains to the newly created Verizon Network Quick Bid tool. Creates test deliverables (for example, strategies, plans and test cases) and performs hands-on testing for internally developed or external purchased products. Types of testing may include system, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.

Testing Specialists deploy or execute job streams for creating test beds as appropriate, design test scenarios, author test scripts, execute tests and track defects to certify that applications meet the approved system requirements. Testing Specialists collaborate with other IT staff as appropriate, to review and understand system requirements and design, review test strategy and design, identify resolution for defects identified during testing, and also to analyze and make specific recommendations on usability/functionality improvements that can be integrated into business processes.

• Participate in technical design discussions and planning meetings.
• Provide weekly project status update to manager and technical team.
• Designing, documenting, developing, testing, implementing scripts, executing and documenting the tests necessary to ensure that an application meets performance requirements (functional and user interface).
• Support a high performance network reporting team in its efforts to design and develop network reporting tools.
• Design and automate reporting for both testing efficiencies and executive module overview.
• Maintain databases and related programs in a thorough and efficient manner.

• People Soft 9.1 functional analyst with experience in Sourcing, Contracts, and Purchasing modules.
• 3+ years experience working in People Soft 9.1.
• Strong SQL and/or People Soft Query Manager skills
• Extensive experience designing test cases/scripts from design documents.
