- Lead the Federal Water (Fed Water) Market Sector (MS) for the Northern California (Nor Cal) Area with focus on development and implementation of growth strategies and engagement with Federal clients.
- Develop and drive Nor Cal Area Fed Water mission, vision, and strategy.
- Lead Fed Water MS communications within Nor Cal team and with other HDR Areas.
- Identify, develop, lead, and implementation MS strategic plan initiatives in the Nor Cal Area.
- Identify key investments with Area BC/Project Delivery/Professional Services Leaders to drive Fed Water recruiting and hiring. Assist with workshare management.
- Partner with the Business Development Leadership team and collaborate with other technical and marketing staff in the pursuit of new projects and taking a leadership role in selected key pursuits.
- Support the development of, and provide reviews of, scopes of work, fee estimate, project risk identification and project schedules.
- Support the Professional Services and BC leaders to align resources and Fed Water project staffing needs.
- Work with WBG leadership to identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting.
- Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations.
- Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations.
- Monitor market sector performance indicators, including Net Fees Earned, Net Fees Booked, profit, positive equity, accounts receivable, losses, and investments.
- Achieve Area Market Sector Net Fees Booked Goals.
- Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients.
- Promote the Fed Water market in Northern California.
- Coordinate participation and engagement with Professional organizations. Lead Fed Water MS branding in Nor Cal by engaging in professional organizations aligned to the Fed Water market. Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
- Lead and engage in marketing, planning, proposals, and interviews.
- Engage the appropriate project management and technical talent to support Fed Water pursuits.
- Support pursuit teams in developing persuasive proposal and interview materials.
- Participate in industry associations and community organizations to elevate HDR's brand in target markets.
- Lead and participate in Quality reviews for Fed Water MS clients.
- Function as a project or contract manager on large or key projects.
- Conduct or attend key Fed Water Project Reviews.
- Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, and resolution of claims.
- Support & perform quality reviews of proposal and interview materials.
- Facilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitiveness.
- Recognize and celebrate pursuit successes and milestones.
- Perform other duties as needed.
