Bring your superpower to light by joining Optoman Inc. as a Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager – a foundational, high‑impact role responsible for growing customer relationships, developing new business, and building the U.S. sales pipeline from the ground up.
This is a hands‑on, early hire role for someone who thrives in technical sales, understands complex customer needs, and enjoys building long‑term partnerships.
Responsibilities- Own and grow key customer accounts in the U.S. market
- Develop new business opportunities across photonics, laser, industrial, medical, and defense sectors
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for U.S. customers
- Understand customer applications and translate requirements into technical and commercial proposals
- Coordinate closely with overseas headquarters on pricing, feasibility, lead times, and production planning
- Drive the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, quoting, negotiation, and closing
- Support customer visits, technical discussions, and on‑site meetings
- Represent Optoman at trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline; provide forecasts and market feedback
- Collaborate with operations and logistics to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
Build and grow Optoman’s U.S. customer base by developing strong, trusted relationships, winning new business, and serving as the voice of the customer internally – while laying the foundation for long‑term commercial success in North America.
Required Superpowers- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or business development
- Background in optics, photonics, lasers, precision manufacturing, or related high‑tech industries
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and long‑term customer relationships
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both technical and commercial
- Comfortable working in a small‑company/startup‑like environment
- Experience working with international teams or overseas manufacturing is a strong plus
- Self‑driven, accountable, and results‑oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed
