Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
• Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, including area specifics, to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain how to use Target App features including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering and guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns following register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed while following Target policies
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage unpurchased items and supplies
• Stock supplies during store hours and remain available to guests
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, and DU Returns while complying with laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office support as needed
• Scan, move, and stock merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions as duties require (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
