Adjunct Faculty – General Education Instructor Pool
Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part‑time Adjunct Faculty positions in General Education at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions cover Communications, General Studies, Mathematics, Natural Science, and Social Science. While specific openings may not be available at the moment, submitting your application will allow us to consider you for future opportunities that align with your skills and experience.
The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part‑time with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. Instructors may teach at different sites within the Moraine Park District, including campuses, centers, and business locations, and may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of General Education, the instructor plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district.
The candidate pool will remain open from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Job Qualifications- For Communications:
Master’s Degree in the content area (English, Reading Instruction, Journalism, Speech, Communication or Literature) or any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area. - For Mathematics:
Master’s Degree in Mathematics or any field with 18 graduate credits in Mathematics. - For Natural Science:
Master’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics, or any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area. - For Social Science:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, Anthropology, Geography, or Philosophy, or any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area. - Must meet Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements as detailed in Chapter TCS 3 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
- Adapt to meet student needs, including flexibility in scheduling, workload, and communication methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; convey ideas and concepts professionally and adjust to diverse learning styles.
- Understand and promote the educational philosophy and programs offered by MPTC; be willing to grow with the College’s philosophy.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and support student and team growth.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, the internet, and email; deliver instruction at NRS levels 1‑6; learn new technologies; online learning platforms and student management systems preferred.
- Continuously learn and accept constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills; manage time and schedule effectively and solve problems.
- Previous community involvement and desire to give back.
