Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Adult Education at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions encompass Adult Education and English Language Learning (ELL). While specific positions may not be available at the moment, submitting your application will allow us to consider you for future opportunities that align with your skills and experience.

The roles are part-time with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term, including campuses, centers, and business locations. There may be teaching during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Adult Education, this individual plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district.

The candidate pool will be open from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Job Qualifications
  • Adult

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree or higher in elementary education, secondary education, adult education, special needs education, or a Wisconsin DPI Secondary Education license in a core academic area (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or Special Education. Two (2) years of teaching experience is preferred. Experience with digital literacy or educational technology is preferred. Candidates must show evidence of ability to teach in multiple content areas.
  • English Language Learning (ELL): BA/BS with 20 semester credits in one or more of the following:
    English Language Learner (ELL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL), Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Applied Linguistics;
    Bilingual Education, and/or Foreign Language Instructor or Wisconsin DPI license in English Language Learner. Two (2) years of teaching experience, experience with communication in Spanish, and experience working with secondary, post‑secondary, and adult learners is preferred.
Job Description
  • Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values; establish a professional and safe learning environment by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior; maintain a positive climate for learning via effective classroom management and enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
  • Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); submit grades within the expected timeframe.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to students to ensure continued growth and development.
  • May participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
  • Assist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.
  • Promote retention and student success through referrals to College services and resources.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with K‑12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
  • Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices; complete annual professional development activities aligned with Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies; complete all required training.
