Job PurposePlan and manage the hotel F&B functions to achieve customer (guest, employee, corporate and owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. The position is responsible for short‑ and long‑term planning and day‑to‑day operations of the above areas, developing and recommending budgets, marketing plans, and objectives, and managing within approved plans. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests that they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
Responsibilities- Manage the Human Resources in the group to attract, retain, and motivate employees; conduct hiring, training, development, empowerment, coaching, counseling, performance and salary reviews, problem resolution, communication, discipline, and termination as appropriate.
- Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the group’s annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed management expectations.
- Implement company and franchise programs, develop local programs and procedures, and manage operations of the group, ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and all applicable laws.
- Resolve customer complaints to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
- Comply with emergency organizational procedures and provide training to department ambassadors to protect guests, staff, and company assets.
- Promote an accident prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
- Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the front and back of the house to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
- Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence.
- High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management fields.
- Working knowledge of major areas and ability to integrate and communicate that information.
- Ability to analyze complex activities and develop new approaches.
- Decision‑making ability with general policies and procedures for guidance.
- Highly developed communication skills in leading ambassadors and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with managers, guests, and ambassadors.
- Strong literacy, written, and reporting skills.
- Visionary ability to visually inspect the hotel.
- Mobility to walk through the front and back of the hotel.
- Passionate about people and service.
- Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
- Reading and writing skills used frequently for paperwork, logging issues, and updates.
- Basic math skills used when handling cash or credit.
- Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
