Mercury Marine Supply Chain Co‑op (Spring or Fall Term)
Pay: $18.00/hr – $27.00/hr
Position Overview:
As a Global Supply Chain co‑op you will work collaboratively and independently with supply chain and operations professionals. You’ll manage suppliers to meet the supply chain requirements for the production and manufacturing of outboard and sterndrive motors for the recreational boating industry.
- Develop effective working relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers, both internally and externally.
- Maintain regular partner communications to assess delivery data status, supplier performance, parts deployment, inventory policies, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Process weekly MRP and initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure accurate ordering standards and effective inventory control.
- Collaborate with peers and suppliers to develop cost‑effective inventory management practices and reduce inventory through pull, VMI, or consignment programs.
- Investigate and resolve invoicing issues to maintain positive supplier relationships, ensuring future deliveries and consistent production levels.
- Analyze current material flow to develop and implement improvements, eliminating waste and streamlining operations.
- Engage in and support Commodity Team meetings and Green Belt/LSS projects as needed.
- Gain confidence in influencing people and managing potentially contentious situations to a positive result.
- Act as a liaison across the organization while driving execution within the supply base.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
- Minimum second‑semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- Availability to work full‑time (40+ hours per week) through a full co‑op term (Spring: January–August 2026 or Fall: May–December 2026).
- Dependable, self‑motivated, and engaged learner.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization required.

Work alongside experienced professionals to apply academic knowledge to real‑world tasks. - Project Work:
Support specific projects or tasks that contribute to organizational goals, ranging from larger projects to individual assignments. - Hours:
Expected to work a full 40‑hour work week. - Feedback and Performance Reviews:
Receive ongoing feedback and performance reviews throughout the assignment.
