Position Overview

The Manager, Inventory and Process Control develops and implements inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and reporting guidelines, problem identification and resolution, and inventory control process improvements. This role leads the Cycle Count Team and Inventory Analysts, ensuring operational and process excellence, cost containment, and inventory integrity. The Manager serves as the business lead for Plant 15 cycle counting across Plant 15, Plant 15L, Dixie Street, and two third‑party logistics warehouses within a 40‑mile radius.

Functions
  • Responsible for hiring, managing, training, and making ongoing personnel decisions for inventory and process control roles.
  • Lead a team of six salary employees with a dotted‑line relationship with multiple hourly cycle‑count employees across multiple shifts.
  • Provide strong analytical competency for inventory decision‑making, including placement of inventory for FIFO management.
  • Train and motivate employees to meet and exceed cycle‑count objectives in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for evaluating and performing employee reviews.
  • Manage excess and obsolescence inventory while developing and implementing a new process that can be monitored and followed on a regular basis.
  • Report weekly and monthly KPIs from the cycle‑count process.
  • Lead the annual Plant 15 physical inventory count teams of finished goods through the set‑up, count, accuracy, and data entry.
  • Your team is responsible for inventory integrity transactions taking place across three shifts, including but not limited to:
    • Returnable containers between our 3rd‑party logistics centers and Plant 15.
    • Perform Open Location Audit & Grid Checks.
    • Aged In‑Transit transactions.
    • Kanban cards.
    • Review and update materials department open tasks.
    • Monitor and close materials department personnel missed transactions.
    • Receiving inbound shipments of cowling on a daily basis.
  • Cycle Count Run Creation.
  • Ad Hoc Cycle Count Management (Ad Hoc, POD, BOMC).
  • Performs High Value Recovery Recounts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail‑oriented and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be a proven leader with the ability to lead, train and develop staff.
  • Defines priorities and focuses on areas that add value.
  • Computer knowledge:
    PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and ERP.
  • Sound understanding of inventory control processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of statistical process control, teaching skills, quality concepts, basic and advanced quality tools, and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Ability to lead, teach, and motivate a team.
  • Organizational skills necessary to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities while remaining tactful, professional, and flexible.
  • Six Sigma Black or Green belt.
Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $72,000 to $115,300 annually. Base pay will vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, and geographic location. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
