Forklift Operator

Join us as a Forklift Operator at Sadoff Iron and Metal
.

First shift Monday through Friday with nights and weekends free. Weekly pay and a full benefits package.

• Operate forklift to load/unload trucks, move materials, and assist customers.
• Handle nonferrous and ferrous materials, maintaining a clean work environment.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, perform pre‑operational inspections, and report incidents.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance: fueling, lubricating, cleaning.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in quality control, inspecting materials for defects and reporting issues.
• Maintain an orderly work area and store materials efficiently.

• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Safely operate forklift.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Complete safety training.
• Operate additional machines (skid steer, loader, etc.).

• One to two years of related experience.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in metal recycling industry (preferred).
• Knowledge of different types of non‑ferrous metals and their properties (preferred).
• Must pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling on an on‑site test.

• Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Perform physical activities requiring arms, legs, and body movement (balancing, lifting, walking, stooping).
• Work in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to plant environment.
• Operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
